DEATH FROM MISADVENTURE. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Haw-era, Yesterday. At the inquest touching the death of •Tames Parish, of Whakamara, who was found dead in his bedroom, a verdict of death through misadventure was returned. A PATHETIC CASE. Wellington, Sept. 30. I'ivderick Hutterworth, a middle-aged man, formerly employed at the <!ear Company'# works, IMone, shot himself t)iis afternoon under pathetic circumstances. About a month ago his wife died and since then the man had been very despondent. To-day he appeared at the I'efune Working Men's Club, of which he was n member, and after spending an hour there, part of the time playing the piano, Buttcnvorth went outside into the yard at the back of the elub. Presently the sound of shot was heard, and oil search being made Butterworth was louud bleeding from a wound in the head indicted by a bullet from » revolver, which was lying beside him. The mail was removed to the hospital, where he lies in a serious state. Buttcnvorth has one adopted child, a girl nbrtut. four years of age.
