RUSSIANS STILL VICTORIOUS. OFFICIAL REPORT. Received Sept, 27, 9.56 p.m. Petrograd, Sept. 27. A communique says: The position on the Dvinsk front is quiet. Many attacks near Vileyka were repulsed. We carried, at the bayonet point the fortified village of Ostroff, north-westward of Vileyka, and crushed the enemy's desperate resistance near Podkigie. Eastward of Novo Grodek we captured six hundred Germans, machine-guns, supply columns, artillery ammunition and other munitions. We also captured the village of Podlugie, and further south we drove hack the Germans across the Strumane.

GERMAN REPORT. Received Sept. 28, 1 a.m. New York, Sept. 27. A German communique says:—General Bindenberg's troops broke through at several points west of Wileschnew. We attacked and drove the Russians over the Beresina, north-west of Sabresin, and further south we reached the Niemen, near Dieeleatitaschi, taking 900 prisoners. AUSTRIAN REPORT. Received Sept. 2S, 1 a.ui. Amsterdam, Sept. 27. An Austrian communique says:—The enemy in great force attempted to break our front near Novo Alexinetz. The battle lasted several days, and ended in a complete Russian defeat. The enemy yesterday attacked ten times southward of Novo Alexinetz, but were repulsed.
