A TURKISH REPORT. Amsterdam, September 24. A Turkish communique states: "Our J Anafarta artillery on our left wing caused a conflagation in the trenches, which raged for two hours. The enemy exploded a mine near Ari Burnu on the night of September 21, doing a little damage, which was soon repaired. The enemy near Seddul-Bahr on the morning of September 21 vigorously bombarded and bombed our left wing. Our fleet on September 21 chased three Russian destroyers from coaling porta in the Black Sea."

Our artillery at the Dardanelles forced | the Turks to abandon a fortified position in the Kereves Dere Valley, and bombarded Achi Baba and the Asiatic batteries, directed by our aviators. Tie Turkish artillery is capricious; for days it was silent, suggesting a lack of ammunition, then the big guns burst forth without warning. Our troops have abundant water and our. losses are not important. The Turco-German aviators have not appeared for a considerable period. Ours make daily flights, resulting in effective bombardments of Turkish headquarters and transports at the wharves. The activity of the British submarines in the Sea of Marmora is marvellous. Our brave Allies in the north zone had an important engagement, which culminated in the junction of the troops at Anzac and Suvla Bay,
