WANGANUI NOTES. 4 (By Telegraph.—Special to Daily News.) Wanganui, Last Night. Wednesday morning's gallops were no more brilliant than the past week's training operations. Most of the horses were just spun up over a few furlongs, and nothing very brilliant was recorded. Expect easily held Seddel Bahr over four furlongs in Slsec. Battle Eve and Snapdragon went over six furlongs in Imin 20sec, moving leisurely over the first part and spurting home together. The Guineas candidate was blowing somewhat at the finish. Flying Spur, whose owner (Mr. C. F. Johnston) has left for the front, shaped moderately over four furlongs. Nones, who is looking very fit, held Xanthos at the end of four furlongs in 50sec, while Spain took a second longer, and led Marco Bello and Hikahakeke over a similar journey. Probation ran half a mile alone in Slsec. The Ormojid-owned Centre Bhaped well over five furlongs in G2sec, and appears to be a good sort. Taringamutu held Marsinah comfortably over the same journey in lmin 3sec; Agatha Green and Aratiatia jumped well, but the pace was not on in either exhibition. A large Taranaki contingent arrived on Wednesday morning, including Glenroy, Royal Arms, Tree Lucerne, Cordon, Welcome Nugget, Foitify, Idolist, Cornelian, Pergola, and Coropet. Depredation, who arrived on Tuesday, did not please critics in his work on Wednesday. The following are the probable runners and riders in the Wanganui Guineas:—

Battle Eve (F. E, Joneß), Plying Spur (W. Young), Marco Bello (J. O'Shea), Probation (L. Wilson), Hydras (W. Adams), Nones (B. Deeley).
