Sydney, Sept. 11.—Hawkes Bay, for Auckland. Maraina and Victoria. THE TE ANAU. The Te Anau arrived at New Plymouth from Wellington at 0 p.m. on Saturday with 700 tons of general cargo. She will return south this afternoon. Captain Baron (late of the Flora) is now in command of the Te Anau, which made her reappearance at New Plymouth on Saturday, after being laid up at Port Chalmers for some months. The Te Anau's officers arc:—Chief, Mr. A. H. Prosser (late of the Karamu); second, Mr. McDonald (late of the Tarawera); chief engineer, Mr. Kettle (late of the Waitemata). Mr. Scott lias charge of the victualling department. THE REGULUS. The Regulus is expected from Greymouth, via Wanganui, to-morrow, with 100 tons of State coal and 60 tons of cement. After discharging she sails i for Greymouth. HURUNUI AND WHAKATANE. The following itineraries have been fixed for the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamers Hurunui and Whakatane:— Hurunui, due :at Wellington from [Liverpool, via ports, Saturday; at Lytelton on the 16th inst.; Dunedin, 19th; Timarti, 23rd; Tokomaru Bay, 26th; Gisborne, 30th; Napier, October 2; leaves Wellington October 8 for London. Whak'atane, at Wellington, from St. John, via ports, Saturday; due at Lyttelton 15th inst.; Dunedin, 17th; Bluff, 20th; Waitara, 25th; Wellington, 30th; sails for London October 4. CARPENTARIA COMING. Advice received by the Wellington office of the New Zealand Shipping Company, who are acting as agents, states that the Carpentaria, which is one of the extra; ships secured to load frozen meat in New Zealand for Home, left Sydney on Friday for Lyttelton. She will call at Waitara and then come on to Wellington to load for London. The | Carpentaria is a vessel of 5084 tons register, and is owned by the British Indian Steam Navigation Company. MISHAP TO THE SQUALL. Whilst bound from Tarakohe to Wellington, the Squall, which arrived at Wellington on Friday, struck some submerged obpect, with the result that a blade of the propellor was knocked off. As the screw is fitted with four blades, the vessel will continue running until Monday, when she will be placed on the Patent Slip to Have a new blade fitted. "notes. The Rimutaka arrived at Hobavt on Friday night from London, via Capetown. The vessel is expected to sail today for Wellington, and should reach there next Saturday afternoon. The Waimatc is due at Wellington on Wednesday next from Waitara to complete homeward loading. She will sail on' Thursday for London via Australia and South Africa, Word has been received to the (feet that the C. and D. liner Aeon, en route from New York, left Panama on August 27 for New Zealand ports and Sydney. The Tyser- liner Hawke's Bay, which is coming to New Zealand from London, via Australian ports, is expected to reach Auckland on the 15th inst.
