CHEESE FOR THE ARMY.

RESOLUTION AT INVERCARGILL. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Invercargill, Yesterday. A meeting of directors of dairy factories was held to-day, at which 150 were present, to consider the offer of the War Office to purchase cheese for the Army. The circular stated that the War Office would take 1000 tons per month at 6'/ 2 f.o.b. for October to March inclusive. The meeting endorsed the Hawera resolution that the Government be recommended to commandeer 20 per cent, of the output pro rata from every factory at 7d per lb at the grading store.
