OKATO FOOTBALL CLUB.

| ANNUAL BALL. The Okato Football Club's annual ball, which was held on Thursday evening, proved a distinct success from every point of view. Visitors were present from all parts of the coast as far as New Plymouth, and one and all had a thoroughly enjoyable time. As usual, the Okato Football Club members hod left no stone unturned to ensure the of the function, and the factl that tho proceeds on this occasion were ia be given to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund caused them to be more zealous in their efforts, consequently nothing waa lacking. The floor waa like glass, the music provided by Mrs. George's orchestra was perfect, and there waa no dearth of partners, as the M.C.'s, Messrs C. Eustace and L. Carey were most assidous in their attentions to their guests. The supper, a sit-down one, was most sumptuous, comprising poultry of every description, trifles, jellies, etc., the greater part being donated free, Mr, and Mrs. ißooker, the Club's president and his wife, preparing it for' the Club. The tables were tastefully decorated bj; Mesdauies Booker, (Power, H. Corbeii and Miss Corbett.
