" WILL THE! NEVER 00ME1" To-day at 2.30 at the Empire Picture Theatre the big Australasian success, "Will They Never Come?" will be unfolded. Judging by the furore the film created in the Commonwealth, the fact that New Zealand's Minister of Defence, after seeing the picture, bestowed his official patronage upon it, patrons may expect something of special merit. It is claimed for this patriotic play that quite apart from its proved power to attract overflowing attendances it has done a good deal towards assisting the cause of recruiting in Australia. It was produced with the permission of the Commonwealth Government, which permitted 10,000 of the Australian Contingent to appear in it. The march through Sydney and the departure of the troops for Egypt en route to the Dardanelles is spoken of as a very fine section that arouses genuine enthusiasm. The plot discloses a powerful story of noble devotion to duty, contracted with the love of the thought-less-minded for mere pastime and pleasure. The strong list of supporting films include: "Giddy, Gay and Ticklish" (the latest Keystone), "Brilliant French Victory in Vosgbs" (showing flight of part of the German army), "Her Winning Triek" (comedy), "The Samoan Relief Force and Wellington Belgian Fund Procession" (interest), "The Fatal Black Bean" (Majestic drama), "Music Hath Charms" (comedy) and IPathe's War Gazette." Ring 365 for reserved seats. THE ROYAL PICTURES. To-day's new pictures at the popular Theatre Royal are announced as an exceptional series. "The Locked Door," a star Vitagraph drama (secured' for exclusive exhibition at this theatre), is a powerful production, dealing with the relation of capital to labor, and the lives of wage-earners in the big factories of the world. It is said to present a vivid lesson and point a strong moral. A big incidental fire scene is said to be very realistic and sensational in character. Keystone presents the popular comedian, "Fatty" Arbuckle, in "Fatty's 'Reckless Fling." Other items: "John Bull's Visiting Card," a cartoon of quite exceptional length and merit; "Tillie and the Nut," diverting episodes connected with a 'tomboy" and her would-be sweetheart; "The Latest War News," I "The Jewelled Dagger of Fate," and "Out of the Storm" (dramas). Seats may be reserved.
