"FOURTHS" IN THE TRENCHES.

,— BOMBS FOR TURKS. ONLY THREE YARDS AWaY. News of the Fourth Reinforcements is conveyed in a letter received from Trooper Laurence Hamlin, of the Canterbury Mounted Rifles. Writing from Gallipoli, ■he says:— "In one place the trenches are only three yards apart, and separated by two rows of sandbags. A major in the Australian force led six charges at this trench when they first landed, and took it, but was killed jumping into it. Although we have taken that trench a dozen times, we cannot hold it. It is made in such a way that when the Turks holding it are killed or taken prisoners by our chaps, others in the rear can turn the machine-guns on us and kill every man in the trench, so we have to be content with being three yards from them in a trench of our own making, where the machine-guns are not in the position to get at us. We can throw bombs into the trench and blow them out without leaving our own. Every now and again we jump into the enemy's treneh at night and finish them with the bayonet, and jump back into our own before the machine-guns get to work. But next day they put more men in.

A LETTER ALL LADIES SHOULD READ. '•'l have used your Rexona Soap for myself and my little girl (4 years old), and I find it a great healer of Dandruff, as well as softening and promoting growth of hair, and keeping the most sensitive skin in healthy and excellent condition," writes Mrs. L. Blythe, 6 Marion-street, Caversham, Dunedin, N.Z. "Under troublesome climatic conditions, hot and cold, it has far exceeded my greatest expectations as I have used so many varieties of similar articles, but I must honestly and faithfully admit that your Rexona Soap stands unequalled above them all. I conscientiously think any lady who reads these few lines of gratitude, and gives your Rexona Soap one trial will echo my praises of its virtues." Rexona is as Bwcet, wholesome und pure as the mountain dew. To use it for 'the daily bath, or even to wash the hands and face with it, is to furnish the akin with a tonic and antiseptic of unquestionable value. Rexona Skin and Facial Soap ia a refreshing, soothing, healing, antiseptic Soap, medicated on the same principle as the famous Kaxona Ointment. Price, 1/6 per tablet. Obtainable everywhere.
