MR. CLEGG'S LECTURE. Stated the Southland News: —"The lecturer unfolded his story to the agreeable accompaniment of lantern slides, portraying the principal persons! and localities referred to. Many of the pictures were magnificent exampJes of photography, while their educational value no means negligible. .The narrative Itself proved'to be a most interesting one, and it is safe to say tha,t the attention of the audience, was never permitted to wander. The speaker told his story in an easy and unpretentious manner, with a spice of humor that lent an added zest to it. It may be confidently assented that had the Invercargill public been aware of the remarkable interest attaching to Mr. Clegg's adventures, a much larger audience would s>ave been present. It could not, however, have been more sympathetic or enthusiastic than last evening's.
Mr. 01 egg speaks in the Good Templar Hall, New Plymouth, to-night.
