It vat proved that the "keyhole" w*i a Hawke's Bay brand, brought .down oa a large shipment that was scattered over Canterbury by consignees' sales, and accused, Dunnett, had bought some ewes M well as Chapman. The sheep M&Hngr Chapman's brand was found, with Dunnett's earmark recently made, but H was in Cliapmank property, and Dunnett denied making this mark. Dunnett Wis recently fined for selling sheejbikin* with the ears cut off. He had kilMd at < Chapman's shed, and denied cirtting iff the ears. • , Frank Allen, who lived in a hut In the district, was found guilty of breaking into a store at Hinde, and stealing varU ous goods.
