STRATFORD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Yesterday. The Stratford "nipper" and his pea rifle, flushed with the war fever, is again out and about, in consequence of which tho police will do wisely and well in keeping their eyes open, Youngsters with pea rifles should be neither seen nor heard. The annual meetings of dairy companies will be held as under:—Cardiff, September fi; Lowgarth, September 7; Ngaere, September 16. Mr. A. .Stewart, who has been appointed Stratford representative for the Farmers' Organisation Society, has been a resident here for 23 years, and is well known. The medals presented by Mr. T. G, Grubb to the candidate gaining the highest marks in each division of the mußic examinations were won as follows: Senior: Mabel Price, 84 marks; Junior: Phyllis \Veston, 86; Preparatory: Isabel Hunter, 89; First Step: A, Lonergan, 89; Intermediate: Lorna Forbes, 83.
