THE SCHOOLS' TOURNAMENT. NJSW PLYMOUTH RETAINS THIS SHIELD. By Telegraph,-—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The final match in the triangular contest was played 'between the New Plymouth and "Palmerston North High School.-, to-day, before a large number of spectators. The game ended in a rather easy win for New Plymouth by 11 points to 3. There was a strong wind, which the Palmerston boys hail in their favor in the first spell, but they failed to take advantage of it, and half time sounded with the score, New .Plymouth 5, Palmerston 3. In the second spell, with the wind in their favor, New Plymouth were mostly on the attack, and ran up a further 17 points, For the winners, Terry, Sykes, Bruce, Yates, Tuohey, and another scored tries, two of which wore converted. Lloyd bcorcd a try for Palmerston. New Plymouth showed splendid combination, and were obviously the s;iipe'-ie" team, both in training aaid tactics. INTER-COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT. ■WON JiY WELLINGTON.
