AUSTRO-TURKISH CAMPAIGN. PROGRESS REPORT. Romr\ August 2:'. A communique states that "the Aiistrians destroyed some bridges and part of the railway from l'ondo Valley to Vulsujrnnn. One of our detachment* on the upper Isonzo attempted a sudden dash on a strong po-ilion on the summit of Monte liuinlion, but owiiur to difficulties of ground and a determined resistance on "the part of the enemy, we fought with guns, rifles, and grenades— even rolling heavy stones down, we captured only a few trenches. The enemy still holds the extreme summit.

The enemy is repairing the recently damaged aerodrome at Aisovitza. Our aviators dropped 120 liombs, hitting two sheds, damaging the whole camp, and causing fires. Although thev were half an hour under fire from the enemy's 'batteries the airmen returned safely.
