(Stratford branch), report as follows: AVe held our usual weekly heifer sale on Tuesday, August 17, when we had a fair yarding of 02 head. Competition was fair, and most vendors' lines were cleared at the following prices;— Heifers showing quality and growth, close to profit, were ill good demand at £9, £8 17s Od, £8 h.ss and £8 10s; calving later, £8 to £7 ss; small two-year-olds £0 12s (id to £0 2s Od; dairy cows in m!,lk, £8 10s, £8 to £7. We held our To Wera sale on Friday, August 20. The attendance was good, hut competition was not so keen as usual, except for bullocks, which realised full values.
