DEATH AT THE GAOL.

OLD MAN'S SUDDEN END. Dennis Fabcy, a prisoner at the New Plymouth Gaol, was found dead in his cell at the gaol early yesterday morning. He was last seen alive the previous evening, and it is supposed the c.vuse of death was heart failure. Deceased was serving a sentence of six months for vagrancy, having been sent to gaol from Hawera en May 17 last. He was seventy years of age and had good health all the time he was in gaol. He was working as usiu'l on Wednesday, and when he was tasked np in his cell that evening he was in hia usual health. When a warder when to unlock Fancy's cell nt 0.30 o'closk yesterday morning he found Fahey dead. The deceased was sitting on his bed and was fully dressed. An inquest will bo held to-day.
