OSSOWIECZ EVACUATED. OFFICIAL REPORT. Deceived August 25, 10.40 p.m. I'etrograd, August 25. A communique states: There have been alternating successes at Jaeobstadt and Dvinsk. We hold (he enemy's offensive between Kovno and Vilrm, nnd between the Bobr unci Narew. We have fallen back from our general position on the left bunk of the Bobr, leading to the evacuation of Ossowiecz, which w>i blew up and razed. We stopped some attacks east of Bielsk, facilitating our occupation of the new position. We stopped the enemy's offensive on the right bank of the Bug, in the direction of Kovel.

We st6rmcd, on tho south-west front of Brest Litovsk, some heights near Kopytow. Our troops a re advancing through the marshy district north-east of Wlodaw.i and pursuing the enemy.
