THE WAR POPULAR. ENTHUSIASM IX THE TREXCHESI ■"* ! ' Rome, August 23. The war with Turkey is enthusiastically approved throughout Italy. General Cardorna's army received the news with frantic hurrahs. The cheers were ao loud that the men in the Austrian trenches thought they were about to be attacked. "Authoritative quarters expect the intervention will have decisive results in the Near East, as the Balkan States will prc/bably follow Italvr'a example and Turkey will be obliged to divide her forces and the Ottoman armies be compelled to use up their hut supplies 0f munitions.
