TURKEY-ITALY.
BERLIN WORRIED. ITALY'S REASONS. Amsterdam, August 22. Italy's declaration of war on Turkey was received with deep emotion in Berlin, where it is feared it will seal the fate of the Dardanelles. Rome, Aumist 22. The Government has issued its reasons for the declaration of war. It is pointed out that the Porto, immediatoly -after signing tlie Treaty of Lausanne, violated it constantly, and did not take any steps to release prisoners of war or terminate hostilities in Libya. On August 5 tlie Grand Vizier signed a Note accepting Italy's demo-lids some hours before the ultimatum expired. Nevertheless on August 9 the authorities revoked their consent to the departure ot Kalians from Asia Minor, GERMAN PRESS ANGRY. Received August 23, 11.-10 p.m. Amsterdam, August 23. German papers are angry at Italy's declaration against Tnrkev, and generally assert that Italy is acting under England's orders.
