INTERNED IN GERMANY.
THIRTEEN NEW ZEALANDERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 20. Kecent./ the High Commissioner cabled to the Minister for Defence stating that thirteen civilian New Zealanders were interned iu Germany. "Some are ring a hard time," said, tho message; "Would suggest our sending them occasionally food and comforts." The Minister replied authorising the High Commissioner to fiend, assistance to the interned New Zealandera, and since then a cable has been Keceived from Mr. Mackenzie giving the following list of the. interned New Zealanders:
C. J. King (Napier), T, Sullivan and son (late of Auckland), A. T. Jones (Christchurch), 'V. R. Wel)b (Manunui), Charles Webster (Christchurch), W. W. Williams (Auckland), Horace Hunt (Auclc'nH), Edmund Turkey (Island Bay), T Godfrey (iPahiatua), W. L. Ca-rr (Newbury), George Squire (Timarn) and W. Morris (Normanby). The High' Commissioner mentions that lie believes their relatives have been advised of the whereabouts of •• interned New Zealanders, and additional particulars are being mailed.
