A doctor in one if the hospitals in Emit had written and told liim that his hospital was receiving an average of 2QO wounded soldiers a day from the Dardanelles, and there were not nearly .sufficient nurses to attend to them. r Mr. McAllum said he fully agreed with the idea to take, every probationer available, and he thought that if thefre was not sufficient accommodation at the hospital the Board ehould agree to pay the extra cost of boarding nurses outside. Mrs. DockriH said there were a great many suitable girls in New Plymouth alone who were only too anxious to give their services and die thought tney should all Ibe accepted.
