TAR AN Alii LOCAL MAIDEN STAKES. Followers of coursing should have A ' good afternoon's sport .to-da^, a.l Glen- - alvon, the TaranaUi Oouasmg Club'a .Maiden States are to be ran off. SixMaiden Stakes are to be run off. Sixteen dogs have entered, comprising the pick of North TnroiMiiki, and hailing lroni as far away as Stratford, Oaonui and Oe*. Local hares in good condition will be used, so that some pood courses should eventuate. Complete arrangements have been made by 'the officials for the conduct of the gathering. Tlio first pair will be slipped at 1 p.m. The first round has been drawn as follows:—Blen v. Conncmara; Sandxy v. Silver Star; Miss Waireki v. Black Chief; Polar Star 11. v. Silver Boll; Muscot v. Stockings; Blua Cloud v. Bed Lancer; Daylight Star v. Tiger; Shippers Daughter v. St. Kauri.
