A young man named Maitland McAnerin, son of Constable McAnerin, of Karon, met with a fatal accident on ■Friday afternoon. He was riding a motor cycle down Karori road, when sonicll iiig went wrong with the machine. The cycle, travelling at a smart speed, dashed against an electric light pole near the Botanical Gardens, with the, result that the rider was seriously injured about the head. He was removed to the hospital in an ambulajice, and died a couple of hours later.—Press Association.
