ENEMY SHORT OF MUNITIONS. Amsterdam, August 11. Twice lately all the ammunition for the guards on the Dutch and Belgian frontier has been requisitioned for fighting at the front. Their riiles have been taken and older patterns substituted. Many wounded men are now acting as guards. GERMAN ATTACKS REPULSED. Paris, August ,11. A communique says:—A German attempted attack on Souchez with petards was repulsed, Our positions in the Argonne were violently bombarded.
