ANOTHER ZEPPELIN RAID. OX EAST COAST OF ENGLAND. NUMBER OF LIVES LOST. ONE AIRSHIP DAMAGED. London, August 10. Official: German airships killed thirteen and wounded thirteen on the East Coast last night. One Zeppelin was destroyed. A squadron of Zeppelins attacked the East Coast. There were twenty-five casualties. One Zeppelin was destroyed. FURTHER DETAILS. (DAMAGED ZEPPELIN' AT OSTEND. ' London, August 10. The Admiralty announces that a squadron of airships on the East Coast, , between 8.30 and midnight, dropped incendiary bombs, killing one man, 1 nine women and four children, and wounding five me, seven women and two children. The damage was immaterial. One Zeppelin was seriously damaged by the gun fire of land defence forces, and was reported as being towed in the morning to Ostend. She has since been subjected to continual attacks by the Dunkirk aircraft, under heavy fire, and is now reported as having her after back broken and rear compartments damaged, or completely destroyed, by an explosion. The night was extremely dark and there was thick fog in places, rendering the night a very difficult one for flying. THE SAARBRUCK RAID. FOUR FRENCH AIRSHIPS MISSING. Received August 11, 8.5 p.m. Paris, August 11. Four of our aircraft which participated in the Saarbruck raid have not returned. One is reported to have landed In Switzerland. AUSTRALIAN AVIATOR MISSING. Received August 2, 12.15 a.m. , Melbourne. August 11. The Vice-roy of India cables that on July 30 Lieutenant Merz, an Australian aviator, was flying towards Bashra.h, at the mouth of the Euphrates, when his engine failed. Arabs found the damaged aeroplane, but Merz is missing. FRENCH AIRMAN INTERNED. Genera, Aueust 10. The Germans chased and compelled a French aeroplane to descend at Bayerne. The pilot officer has been interned.
