STRATFORD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Wednesday. lA motor accident occurred this afternoon in Broadway North, it appears that Mr. J. 'Masters waS turning bis ear into big gate, when he wa's run into by another car, which violently collided 'with Mr. Masters' car, damaging- it .severely. Seeing that Mr. Masters' car was full of lady occupants, it is marvellous how they escaped injury. The other >.-ar was practically undamaged. The Scottish Society has collected well over £IOOO for the Sick and Wounded Fund. The farewell at the F.gmont Club to-morrow (Thursday) to the boys leaving for tlie front should be a most successful function. The male quartette from Hawera have promised their services, and singers quite new to Stratford audiences are taking part.
