THE WHEAT MARKET. London, August 9. Wheat is firmer than at the outlet, owing to higher supplies. American cables say it is quieter, and later on there will be freer offerings from Manitoba, owing to ' improved American weather. A CORRECTION. 1 Wellington, Last Night. The Department of Agriculture has received a correction from the Telegraph Department in reference to the part of the High Commissioner's cable which refers to mutton, the only particulars regarding which now read:—Mutton: Canterbury, 7d for light weight, heavy weights Ojjd; North Island C 13-16 d for best quality, light weight ordinary quality, BJd, ewes Gd.
