WHjL COME SHORTLY . Wellington, August 0. Preparations are being made rapidly for a complete register of New Zealand's strength, in men, material and reJMirees. It is expected that by the time Parliament resumes work, or soon after, a Bill will be ready. The purpose is to have a thorough "national stoc-Jitft-jcing." The Government-will en. dcavor to secure definite information regarding. every able-bodied man's position in thq. community, and from an industrial viewpoint and otherwise. The register will show whether a inau has dependents, whether his occupation is useful to .the community, whether lie lias ,had military experience, and. so on.
