Driver, a New Zealander. Died of wounds: One officer and 1C men. AA'ounded: Three officers and 9(i men, including AA\ Kennedy and J. H. Coulson (the latter a second time)., New Zealanders. Ill: Four officers and 54 men. Received August 7, 12.40 a.m. Sydney, August 0. Killed in action: Forty-four. Died of wounds: Twenty-seven. AVonnded: Four officers and JSI men, including the New Zealanders, Private D. L. Matheson (second occasion), A. Hornby,'and A. L. Gibson (botli in hospital at Malta). Missing: Two. '■ Prisoners of war: Two. Ill: Twenty-two officers and fifty-five men. including Privates J. Smith (in liospiial at Gheziroh) and AY. Kennedy (in hospital at Malta), both previously reported wounded. Private L. C. AA 7 ood (reported wounded) has rejoined his unit. 'AYOMEN FOR NATIONAL SERVICE. Received August 0, 10.40 p.m. Sydney, August 0. A meeting of the National Council of Women decided to approach the Federal Government to take a census which puts the energies of women in tabulated form, witli a view to their employment in national service. They considered they could help the nation in many ways if organised.
