ROYAL PICTURES. Distinctly original is the plot of "Woman," Gaurmont's magnificent photoplay, in three acts, to be screened at the Theatre Royal next Monday and Tuesday. It is the most gorgeous, most brilliant and, without doubt, the most stirring, appealing and beautiful of plays. Intending patrons are advised to bock their seats early. Plan now open at Hoffmann's. EMPIRE PICTURES. The eighth series of "The Adventures of Kathlyn," Selig's exciting wild animal drama, appeared at the head of the new programme at the Empire Theatre last night. In continuation of the story, it is shown how* Kathlyn evades the leopards and escapes from the Garden of Brides. She rejoins her father and Bruce, the young American engineer. The party now seek safety in flight towards the coast. Umballah, the treacherous rajah, pursues them, but after many hairbreadth escapes the fugitives reach a haven. Here, however, they learn that Kathlyn's sister is in the hands of Umballah, and they return tc rescue, her. Other films are: "The Love Pirate" (Reliance drama, in two parts), "His Soul Mate," "Gus and the Anarchists" and "Ambrose's First Falsehood" 1 (comedies) and the latest "Australian Gazette."
