At the annual meeting of the Victoria Racing Club, the chairman stated that the policy would be to keep the expenses down to the minimum. It was proposed to invest as much of the club's funds as the committee though wise in Ithe Federal war loan, believing it was a national ami patriotic duty. Notwithstanding the large decrease in (lie profits of the last Cup meeting, the year's surplus was £12,000. Already £14,500 had been devoted to war funds, and it had been decided to give the whole of the annual profits to patriotic purposes. GRAND STEEPLES. By Telegraph.—Press Association.
