Jack-son for a term of live years. Senior-Sergeant McXeely, who is on three weeks' holiday, left for L'luistchurch this morning, accompanied by Mrs. McXeely. Sergeant Matthews, of Wangantti, will he in charge during his absence. OJrs. <!. V. IVarce, who underwent a serious operation recently at Wangamii, U reported to !h; progres-ing favorably. < ;KN KUIVL A meeting of the committee which conducted the arrangements in connection with the concert given by Mrs. Edwards and her fiiends of Patea. in aid uf the Wounded Soldiers Fund, was held on Friday evening.
