l-TRTHER REMITS C.VRRIRD. By Telegraph.—Prcas Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Farmers' Union to-day, remits carried included tin- following:—"That in nil the flovornmont Conferences in future on matters vitally affecting farmers' interests the Farmers Union be requested to send representatives to Wellington." " That the freezing companies he circularised asking them (1) to reconsider the 0 per cent, allowance for cooling and (2) to assist the Farmers' Viiion in securing the abolition la 'London of the allowance of "21b on martton and 111) on lamib." On the motion of Mr. J. A. Miller ('Hawke's Bay), a motion was carried, protesting against the action of . the Government in refusing to purchase sheep over 851b. ''That where an'employer has insured liis employees in any reputable accident, office, in the joint names of mortgagor and mortgagee, sub-section 4 and ii of section 4 of the Worker* Conrpcn(•ntinn for Accidents Act. 1908, should not apply." "That in consequence or the great damage done to crops by rooks and crows the Government be approached with a view to having the protection removed if the local todies think fit." 'Mr. E. Maxwell (Taranaki) moved: '■ That it is the opinion of the conference that a dominion register should be forthwith compiled, so that absolute knowledge as to our resources in men, etc., shall ibe immediately available." The motion was carried unanimously. A motion was carried, urging tie Government that, if the purchase of meat, were continued next season, the meat be taken at an agreed upon price.
