The presentation was made by Mr. Kail, who spoke vr-ry warmly of Mr. -and Sirs. Looney, as friends and neighbors, and of the geneva! lows the going away of Mr. Looney meant to the district. He had been a mcirfter of the Oakura Road Board and one of the directors of the Omata Dairy Co, In both positions Mr. Looney had shown marked ability. Mr. Looney suitably replied. Mr. Looney has exchanged his farm for another in the Haw-era district. We car ill spare such men as Mr. Looncv. Vut our loss is another district's gain. Mr. iind Mrs. Looney have ahvays been the first to help a, neighbor in any way
