THE RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
RESTORING OOIMUNICATIOXS. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Te Kuiti, Mattirday. The trains from here to Auckland are expected to resume running at fiv.? o'clock to-night, when the. wash-out at Hangitikei will be repaired. Trains to Wellington are expected to get through after to-morrow, when a loop at Taringaliiutu will be completed. Meanwhile connecting trains are being sent from hero to Taringamutu. The floods are gradually subsiding. the Te Kuiti-Pio Pio Road is submerged to a depth of eight feet in places. Coaches to out districts will not run till to-morrow or the next day. No serious damage is reported, except slips on many roads.
TRAIN SERVICE RESUMED. Auckland, Last Night. Two expresses arrived at Auckland this afternoon from Wellington, as a result of the clearance of the line. The train which left Wellington on Wednesday evening arrived at 1.30 o'clock, and the second express at about 4.30 p.m. The third express is expected at 7 o'clock, though it is at present held up at Huntly. i
