NORTH TARAXAKJ HUNT RACE. The acceptances for the above club's meeting, to be held on Thursday next, are estimated to be gratifying', and punters will require to :pnt on their thinking caps to pick the winners. The committee has gone to a great deal of trouble to make the meeting a success, and gives; fine weather there is no doubt that its efforts will be rewarded as it deserves. Arrangements are well in hand for providing for the comforts of the public. The tea kiosk, which will be under the management of Mis« McAHer. and Hiss 0. Mackay, will be open from 11 a.m., thereby giving the people coming by train an opportunity of having a cup of morning tea before the races start. The booth will be in the capable hands of Mr. E. Whittle, while Mr Wooller will provide luncheon, etc.
