COALITION MINISTRY URGED. By Telegraph.—Presa Association. • Dunedin, Last Night. The Mayor of Dunedin (Mr. Clarke will leave for Wellington to-morrow to attend u conference of mayors of citiesregarding co-operation and unanimity of' action in connection with patriotic funds. Mr. Clark intends to raise the question* whether it would not be in the best interests of the dominion in the present crisis to ■call public meetings throughout the country to protest against the waste of time by Parliament, and pass a resolution emphasising that the dominion would be best served by a coalition Ministry, and calling on Parliament at once to give effect to the resolution. If other mayors favor the prospect, jt will be proposed that meetings .be held throughout the dominion on the same night.

'Subscriptions to various funds received by the Internal Affairs Department arc as follow:—Belgian relief, £120,501; Serbian relief, £04;?; Prince of Wales fund, £I4S7; New Zealand Red Cross fund, £4-785*; New Zealand war relief fund, £3070; war expenses account, £1160; King Albert's orphan fund, £5000; Montenegrin relief fund, £10; Polish relief fund, ±'6. A WOMAN'S SUICIDE. Dnnedin, July 23 An inquest on the body of JessieSmaill, found in the Molyneux river on Thursday, was held at Kaitangata today. Constable Martin gave evidence that ho. found tho body in the river, tied by a rope to an overhanging bnrocli of a tree. A verdict of suieide rjy drowning while temporarily insane was returned. '
