Today the Railway Department is ' running trains to Douglas and back, .it is thought that it will ■)»■ fully three weeks before the line is in order to resume running to Whangamoniona. Skoglund and Uniacko acted as receivers of .fines. His 'Worship the Mayor was the first to be charged, after which most of our leading townsmen and settlers were lined, for all manner of offences alleged to have been committed. Altogether .dose on ,LlaO was collected. Before departing, .Mr. Robert Rpence. thanked the public for their attendance and help, and especially asked them to sink their little differences as to the disposal of Hie funds, and help in every way possible to make the function on Tuesday night a great success, because the object was a worthy one, and our boys at the front needed all the help that was possible to give.
