OUR HEROES.
Boom! JJoom! from out of the gloom— Hark to the sound of the drum, The cornet's blare and the torches' Hare, For our wounded are coming home. Hark! how the echoes rise and nil, And streets calls aloud to street; How all rally at once to the Ibuglc call And the bold, brave deeds repeat. Scarred and wounded, sick and sore. Yet joyful every one, Bravely the shiapnel and shell tluy boi\« Hurled by the treacherous Hun. Their deeds of valor never will fade Till mortal's day is o'er. Never will perish the charge they made On that wild and rocky shore. Then hurrah for our boys, tho' maimed they be! All honor be theirs for aye— They have written their names on the history ipage, .They dared—ami *omc did dr-~ I. Died for Old England's giory and fame ! In fiery battle and strife. .
