WELCOMING THE WOUNDED. .1 By Telegraph.—Frees Association. Masterton, Last Night. ' Eight wounded soldiers who returned to Yvairarapa on Saturday were given enthusiastic receptions at Carterton and Masterton. Both townships were decorated with flags and bunting. At Masterton rousing speeches were made, and, the men were entertained at lunoheon. Christchureh, Saturday NighV The Willochra, with the southern Motion of the wounded men, arrived at Lyttelton at 3,45 p.m. to-day. The men were transferred to a special train, which was, waiting on the wharf, and brought through to Christchureh. There was a. large crowd at Lyttelton to welcome the men buck, and another large gathering at Christchureh railway station. Provision was made for 200 beds in an ambulance train, but only three were required, the patients heing SergeantMajor Keen, Lance-Corporal J. Menzies, and Private K. G. Willis. Keen is suffering from rheumatism, and the other two from wounds.

The following men will stay at Christcliurch hospital to-night:—Sergeant-Major Keen, Corporal Pickering, and Privates Ishcrwood, 1!. 11. Adcock, 11, E, ■ Dudfield, A. J. Xortheote, A. C.
