Mr. Okey had advised him that tin' Taranaki County Council was sending down delegates to oppose it, and he suggested that the Board should obtain as many signatures as possible to a pelition to the House, praying that the Bill should be passed into law. The chairman stated that lie had accordingly had petitions drawn up and circulated among members of the Board
