AMERICAN AMBASSADOR ATTACKED. Washington, July 13. The British .Embassy confirms the attempted hold-up of Sir C. A. Spring Rice, while motoring near Glencove. Before the attempted assassination Morgan, Sir C. A. Spring Rice's chaireu,-, drove through the men, who attempted pursuit, but Sir Kprinj; Rice's car easily out-distanced them.
