• o FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 12. Following ip Mr. Bates' summary for the past twenty-four hours.—Strong north-westerly to south-westerly winds have prevailed, and the weather has been unsettled, with rain in most parts of the country, and a slight fall of snow has ibeen reported on the higher levels in tbe south. The barometer is now about normal. Forecast.—Present indications 'are for variable winds, moderate to strong south-easterlies to north-easterlies predominating; weithcr cloudy and unsettled at times, with showers, especially in the northern and southernmost districts. The barometer is unsteady, with a rising tendency.
