The Chronicle's Turin correspondent reports that a desperate, battle raged at one (if the heights in the Tyrol, from July 1 to !>. It Iregan in a'blizzard and continued in bitterly cold weather. Then there, was a fog so dense that searchlights were unable to penetrate it, and soldiers on both sides grapplod with their comrades among the rocks, and two Austrian batteries engaged in a fierce duel. The Austrians evacuated their positions before the foff lifted. Some Austrian* wear shields on their Iwks and breasts and others carry steel screens with peep-holes.
