Pearson, is away on a month's holiday. Mr. W. Stanley. Hillsborough, received a telegram from the Defence Department yesterday stating that his son, Private Ernest"(.'. Stanley, has recovered front his wound and has returned to Cue front. Dr. X. Johns, of Wanganui, arrived in Xew Plymouth by the. mail train last evening for the purpose of spending a few days here. Dr. Johns, who is a nephew of Mr. F. S. Johns, of New Plymouth, has offered his services for the front.
