Bit; CARNIVAL IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night.. A successful combined sports and carnival was held ill the Domain yesterday in aid of the Hospital Ship' and the Wounded Soldiers' Funds. Probably the finest fancy dress procession ever organised in the dominion marched to the grounds, the procession being over a mile long. Tho attendance at the Domain was fully 15,000, and it is expected that the total proceedings (including £BSO from a mock court) will be considerably over C2OOO. The programme included exhibition games of hockey, association, rugby, and league footbail'. basket-ball, and golf.
