TREATMENT OF INTERNED BRITISH. COMPLAINTS AT THE FOOD. (Times and Sydney Sun 'Services.) Received July 2, 7.50 p.m. London, July 1. The Foreign Office issues reports from the American Consul at Cologne regarding the Britishers interned at Fricdrichsfeld. He savs they are dwelling in shacks 200 ft. long and 50ft. wide and not exceeding 15ft. in height, which are designed to contain 75fl men. The Britishers complained that the food was pever ample, and recently :i:i*l fallen off in quantity and quality, while they were not receiving sufficient medical attention. Inadequate efforts were made to provide free quarters. Ilermin, the commandant, promised to remedy generally the conditions of the interned Britishers, and the conditions arc improving. 1 REPORT ON THE WAR. A STORY OF SUCCESSES. Received July 2, 10.55 p.m. Amsterdam, July 2. An Austrian official report says: Austro-Gerinan troops, after stubborn lighting, reached the eastern bank of the Rohatyn and occupied Zamosc. The Italians attacked our front at Segrado and Montecosich, and entered our trenches near Selzauo and Vermigliant, but were repulsed. Italian corpses covering the Montecosich ridges. THE HARVEST PROSPECTS. (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) Received July 2, 7.50 p.m. London, July 1. Copenhagen reports that abundant rains in Germany ensure a splendid harvest.
