j 'fit FtTZROY CLUB. TIIK MAT PROBLEM. An adjourned general roprtinjr of members of the I'itzrnv 'Howling Clul) was held last night, All 1 . ]\ ]l. Jackson presiding. The chief business of the meeting was to consider the vexed (juestion of the two feet on the mat rule. After considerate discussion. the following resolution was passed: " Tliat this meeting rcom"'.enila tile Council of the Dominion of STew' Zealand 'Bowling Association to .pass a rule for regulation mats to he used l>y all afliliated clubs, sueh mats to have a line across the centre and players when delivering a bowl to stand with one foot behind tluit line, every infringement of this rule to render the delivery no bowl." •Messrs. Jackson, S. Smith and E. Dingle were appointed a Selection Committc' for club matches. Messrs. Jackson and Hrooker were appointed as a sub-iommittee to go into the i|uesti(m of raising funds to reduce the ciub's liabilities.
