Each one is either entered or is eligible for the Herd Rook. On account of Mr. AY. Taifc (Ivy Bank) 7 purebred Ayrshire tows and heifers. NOTE.—The Brookside herd was founded IS years ago by high-class stock purchased from Olson's Estate, followed on by bulls and heifers bred by such noted breeders as J. Kyle, Esq., Rankin Bros., Cowan Bros., J. Parlane, Esq., Slack Bros., AV. F. Olson, Esq., Brown Bros., and 11. H. Olson, Esq. nreeders will thus see that absolutely nothing but the best blood procurable in the dominion has been utilised in building Owing to the great distance, from the railway, Mr Johnstone has not been able to exhibit his stock to any extent. Although making great milking propensitiea his first ana chief aim, tliere are a number in the herd that would compete successfully in any show. The whole herd has been milked entirely by hand, and are all going out absolutely sound. They also have the honor of having the best average test at the factory for the last six years.
