DOMINION WINTER SHOW.
OI'EXIXU DAY. Tlie great winter festival of the district will commence at 12 noon on Wctlnestlav. when the opening icrcmotiv will be perfoi'ineil by his Worship th" Mayor, and the show'will he (hrnw.i open to the public. There arc more milking machines to be shown in working order, and tlie display of machinery will lie greater than ever before. The display of clii'cse and butter is said to be tlie finest yet seen at any Winter Show in tin; Xorth Island. There are also very fain entries for tile some industries, public school division, fancy work, photography, farm and garden produce, poultry and dogs. The whole display will be the liest in tlie history of the association. The railway arrangements are made to .bring passengers, at excursion rates from all parts, and each day there should be a great influx of visitors. On Wednesday afternoon there -will be the great football event of the year, the representative match 'between Wellington and Taranaki, and on Saturday aftevnoon the second match with Wanganui, which is certain to' e most exciting. The show will be opened as follows: Wednesday, from opening until 5 p.m. and .from 1 to 10 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to' 10 p.m.: Friday and Raturdav, 10 a.m. to i 3 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. Tea anil. Inn-!: 'tin rooms will he open in the building. The dogs will be on view on Thursday and Lrida-v only; tlie roul+rv on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday. Everyone in the district should make a point of. visiting tlie great Winter Show, the event of the year.
